3D Printed Magnetic-to-Non-Magnetic Gradient Alloy Cold Encoder Shafts for Prediction and Control of Magnetic Permeability, Year 3
Use AM to fabricate compositionally graded and cold encoder shafts and test samples, and characterize their magnetic and mechanical properties. Analyze phase diagrams and develop composition maps for manufacturing to avoid brittle intermetallics and other unwanted phases. Collaborate with RPM Innovations for AM Fabrication. Partner with UC Berkeley for microstructure analysis. More »
