T0011-P Cryocooler Vibrational Characterization (VASIMR)
Project Description
Determine natural frequency and intensity of vibrations as a function of test parameters (cryocooler power, g-load, mounting arrangement). This will offer initial design solution for vibration mitigation. 3-axis accelerometers are strategically instrumented throughout experiment to provide comprehensive vibration responses at varying cryocooler power levels. The cryocooler operation will be monitored by curent and temperature measurements.
