Project Description

T0107-P Characterizing CubeSat Deployer Dynamics in a Microgravity Environment

Program start date is on hold until Space Act Agreement is signed.  Placeholder date of January 2014 is used as placeholder.

The experiment will provide an understanding of internal dynamic interactions in microgravity.  The two flights will record NLV CD (Nano-Launch Vehicle CubeSat Deployer) interactions and deployment and then P-POD (Poly-Picostatellite Orbital Deployer) and NLV CD systems. The deployment dynamics have never been accurately characterized in an operational environment.  Possible benefits are to NASA LSP, ARC, JPL, GSFC, US Army, and DARPA.
