T0021-S Application of Controlled Vibrations To Multiphase Systems for Space Applications

The management of multiphase flows is a key element in many space systems, from fuel tanks to Environmental Control & Life Support Systems (ECLSS). As vibrations have been found play a fundamental role in the behavior of these flows in microgravity, this experiment will present a payload for the generation of controlled harmonic translational vibrations in multiphase systems in microgravity conditions. Technology maturation for future space applications is sought.
