Project Introduction

The Fabrication of Ultra-Light Full-Shell Replicated X-Ray Optics by 3D-Printing
a.) Measure the mechanical properties of various printed ceramics (AlOx, B4C, ZrOx) such as stress, shrinkage, flexural strength, and adhesion as a function of sintering temperature. b.) Verify that any stress introduced by the printing process is uniform and can be compensated using established techniques. Deliverable: Small ~30 arc second prototype ultra-lightweight full-shell optic. More »
