Astronaut Devices and Wearables For Situational Awareness and Robotic Interaction

A variety of artifacts centered around Martian Astronaut Suit technology were collected from the workshop as well as opportunities for collaboration with private industry and potential partners. A framework of areas that would be most beneficial in utilizing JPL technology in collaboration with JSC and potential partners was developed. The list of all areas of technology discussed throughout the day, regardless of feasibility or relevance to this specific workshop, included: biometric sensors, environmental, habitat, asset awareness, communication, oxygen needs, moving, dust, storage. At the end of the day, several opportunities for JPL and possible partners to assist JSC with their human centered design.
