This effort focuses on analyzing the repeatability, robustness and ink characterization for direct-write manufacturing techniques. The effort will build on FY15 findings by 1) defining a stable source of ink 2) finding a repeatable process, and 3) evaluating robustness to environmental stresses. Numerous groups active in AM are contributing resources. A major deliverable is to fabricate and evaluate test patterns created with different machines by July of 2016.
More »This technology requires very little mass/power resources, so it is expected that such flight opportunities can be found amongst our various flight missions.
