This study proposes a reusable enhanced thermal switch that allows suborbital Reusable Launch Vehicle (sRLV) operation of payloads with passive thermal control in any orientation. Flight demonstration is used to confirm the low-g operation of the phase change material, and the ability of a set of switches to provide thermal control in the complex environment of an sRLV flight.
