This experiment will improve an innovative passive thermal control system by being able to couple the converter to the heat rejection system and provide up to 10 times the thermal conductance, as well as increased structural strength. The design of the experiment uses flat heat pipe technology to transfer heat out of the converter's cold side rejector to the radiator housing. This is done by using the vapor flow of the working fluid through the radial core channels. The research conducted will study the effects and determine if it can be configured to improve future generator designs.
